From the Villa of the Mysteries reconstructions to the Djehutymose coffin, the Kelsey Museum houses several iconic, widely recognizable objects that illustrate the history of Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, and Rome. But what about the Kelsey’s lesser-known artifacts?

This tour takes a generous look at not only the Kelsey Museum’s highlights but also its “sleepers”—objects that may appear unassuming or aren't often spotlighted on tours but nevertheless offer interesting insights into ancient Mediterranean cultures.

This event is free and open to all visitors.
